EDOTCO Bangladesh named sustainable digital infrastructure champion
EDOTCO Bangladesh has won the "Most Sustainable Digital Infrastructure Champion of the Year" award at the SDG Brand Champion Awards 2026, reaffirming its position as a leader in sustainable digital infrastructure.
This is the second consecutive year the digital infrastructure services provider has received this recognition.
According to the company, the award reflects its efforts to integrate sustainability across its operations, including infrastructure sharing, renewable energy adoption, energy optimisation, circular resource management, climate resilience and community empowerment.
"We are honoured to receive this recognition, which demonstrates EDOTCO Bangladesh's long-term commitment to responsible business," said Country Managing Director Al Batuni Mohammad Sayed Ahmed of EDOTCO Bangladesh.
"Sustainability is not a separate initiative; it is fundamental to how we build, operate and grow," he said.
"By embedding responsible business practices into our strategy, we are strengthening Bangladesh's digital infrastructure, building national resilience and creating long-term value for our communities, the environment and the digital future of the country," he added.
EDOTCO Bangladesh stated that its Tower to Power and Digital Learning initiatives, Rangers Volunteer Programme and other community empowerment programmes have benefited more than 1 lakh people.
The company said these initiatives support inclusive growth and contribute to Bangladesh's sustainable development agenda and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
The SDG Brand Champion Awards 2026 were organised by the Sustainable Brand Initiative and Bangladesh Brand Forum to recognise organisations demonstrating leadership and measurable progress towards achieving the United Nations goals in Bangladesh.
