Commercial Bank of Ceylon, PKSF sign credit guarantee agreement
Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC Bangladesh Operations and Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation have signed a credit guarantee agreement under the Credit Enhancement Scheme for the 2026–27 financial year, aimed at boosting financial inclusion and strengthening microenterprise growth in Bangladesh.
The initiative seeks to expand access to finance for microenterprises, supporting inclusive and sustainable economic growth nationwide.
Managing Director of Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation Md Jashim Uddin and Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC Bangladesh Operations, Haily Algewatte, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.

Deputy Managing Directors and other senior officials of Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation attended the signing ceremony.
Managing Directors, Deputy Managing Directors and senior officials from 11 other participating banks and financial institutions also attended the event.
Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC Bangladesh Operations said the partnership would empower businesses and promote the sustainable development of microenterprises nationwide.
