Dhaka students to represent Bangladesh at Asian Spelling Bee in Shanghai
Six students from Emerald International School, Dhaka, have qualified to represent Bangladesh at the Asian Spelling Bee International Finals 2026 in Shanghai, China.
The students secured their places after strong performances at the national level, the school said in a press release.
The selected students are:
- Shahnan Sabit Nirjhor
- Yusuf MD Shafiq
- Amr Eesaa Bin Muhammad
- Hamza Zulkifle Bin Muhammad
- Safiyyah Bint Tareq
- Muhammad Bin Tareq
The school said their qualification reflected their spelling proficiency, command of English and commitment to academic excellence.
The international finals will bring together young spellers from across Asia, offering participants opportunities for academic competition and cultural exchange.
Emerald International School Dhaka said the students would represent both Bangladesh and the institution at the competition.
