Trump administration pays back $100bn in 'Liberation Day' tariffs to businesses
The government has already refunded $100 billion to businesses after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that some of the Trump administration's import tariffs were illegal. But it is in the process of refunding about $30 billion more. Meanwhile, despite refunding old tariffs, the Trump administration has reimposed new tariffs on various countries, leaving uncertainty about U.S. tariff policy.
