Saudi Arabia overtakes US as Bangladesh's top remittance source in FY26

Remittance inflows to Bangladesh reached an all-time high of $35.5 billion in FY26, surging 17.3% from $30.3 billion in FY25. Alongside this record volume, the ranking among top source countries shifted once again. Saudi Arabia reclaimed the top position in FY26 – after losing it in FY24 – following a period in FY25 when the US had overtaken the UAE as Bangladesh's largest remittance source.
