Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, has formally pledged to avenge the death of his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was killed during U.S.-Israeli airstrikes on February 28. The statement was released during funeral ceremonies in Mashhad and comes amid renewed diplomatic talks in Oman, continued regional tensions, and discussions over the security of the Strait of Hormuz.
