Alliance Française de Dhaka to host jazz concert
To mark International Jazz Day, Alliance Française de Dhaka is set to host a live instrumental concert titled 'Kind of Purple' tomorrow, 30 April.
The event will take place at Café La Véranda in their Dhanmondi branch from 7:30pm to 9:00pm.
The special evening will bring together an ensemble of musicians for a classical jazz performance. The lineup features Rahin Haider on saxophone, Joy Goswami on piano, Mohaimin Karim on double bass, Arjo Shrestho on drums, and Jishnu Haider on guitar.

According to the organisers, the live session aims to highlight the core elements of jazz music, focusing heavily on improvisation, collaboration, and cultural exchange.
The concert is open to the public and entry is free of charge. However, the cultural centre noted that seating is limited and will be allocated strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.
