TECNO lowers CAMON series prices from 1 July
TECNO has slashed prices of selected Camon series smartphones in Bangladesh, effective from today, in a strategic move to strengthen its market presence amid surging global component costs and recent tax adjustments on the handset market.
The smartphone industry is grappling with rising costs, driven by higher prices for key components such as memory chips, processors, motherboards, and batteries, compounded by ongoing supply chain disruptions and economic uncertainty.
Bangladesh's handset market is expected to come under further strain following the expiry of a temporary tax concession on legally imported phones on 30 June 2026, according to the press release.
TECNO said it is taking a proactive approach by reducing prices of selected models to make smartphone technology more accessible to Bangladeshi consumers.
The Camon 50 8GB+256GB variant, previously priced at Tk38,999, is now available at Tk36,999, with value-added tax applicable.
The Camon 50 8GB+128GB variant has been reduced from Tk34,999 to Tk31,999, inclusive of value-added tax.
The offer is available for a limited period, starting today.
TECNO Bangladesh said the price reduction underscores the company's commitment to delivering innovation, performance and value, without transferring additional costs to customers.
