Xi Jinping's anti-corruption drive ends with death sentence for ex-Chinese official
Former Chinese official Yang Youlin has been sentenced to death after being convicted of accepting more than 2.2 billion yuan (about $325 million) in bribes over a 30-year career. The court also found him guilty of embezzlement, money laundering, and abuse of power, ruling that the scale and impact of his crimes made him ineligible for a suspended death sentence.
