UAE president thanks Bangladesh, expresses interest in visit
United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan thanked Bangladesh for its solidarity after the Iranian attacks on the UAE and expressed interest in visiting Bangladesh.
In a letter to the prime minister of Bangladesh, the UAE president conveyed his appreciation for the country's support during the crisis.
Sheikh Mohamed also offered condolences over the deaths of two Bangladeshi nationals living in the UAE among the victims of the attacks.
He expressed his sympathies to their families and to the people of Bangladesh.
The UAE president acknowledged the prime minister's invitation to visit Bangladesh and said he was keen to undertake an official visit at the earliest opportunity, while clarifying that the invitation came from the prime minister.
He also reaffirmed the UAE's commitment to strengthening its longstanding partnership with Bangladesh, particularly through expanded cooperation in the economic, development and humanitarian sectors.
Bangladesh and the UAE maintain multifaceted bilateral relations based on mutual respect and cooperation, along with a shared commitment to regional peace, stability and prosperity.
