Matrix Sweaters gets LEED Platinum certification
Matrix Sweaters Limited, a concern of Labib Group, has achieved Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Platinum certification from the US Green Building Council, scoring 88 points.
The certification recognises the company's commitment to sustainable manufacturing, energy efficiency, and environmentally responsible workplace practices.
Labib Group and Ecoray Group representatives attended a ceremony at the Labib Group corporate office to mark the achievement.
Chairman Salahuddin Alamgir, CIP; Vice Chairman Sultana Jahan, CIP; Deputy Managing Director of Finance Papia Akter; and Deputy Managing Director of the Sweater Division Animesh Chandra Majumder received the certificate.
This is Labib Group's fourth facility to receive LEED accreditation.
Sultana Sweaters Limited, Nice Cotton Limited, and Raidha Collections Limited—three other group concerns—have previously received LEED certification.
Labib Group said this achievement places the conglomerate among the few in Bangladesh's readymade garment sector to hold multiple LEED certifications across its operations.
The certification further strengthens Matrix Sweaters Limited's position as a responsible manufacturer, reinforcing its role amid growing global buyer preferences and supply chain strategies shaped by environmental compliance and green production standards.
