East West University holds summer orientation
East West University welcomed approximately 2,200 new students for the Summer Semester 2026, staging an immersive orientation at its Aftabnagar campus in Dhaka.
The event on 14 May introduced students to the university's academic environment, strict code of conduct, and abundant facilities, while highlighting scholarship opportunities.
Departmental sessions clarified academic standards and detailed key resources, preparing students to confidently begin their academic path.
The orientation mapped the main stages of university life, underscoring excellence and integrity.
Distinguished guests included Professor Dr Mohammed Farashuddin, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees and former Bangladesh Bank governor; EWU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Shams Rahman; Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Ashik Mosaddik; and Treasurer Air Commodore Ishfaq Ilahi Choudhury (retd).
Deans, department chairs, faculty, and students attended the programme.
