Deshbandhu Group expands industrial, market activities in northern Bangladesh
Deshbandhu Group has intensified efforts to promote industrialisation, expand employment opportunities, and strengthen the regional economy in northern Bangladesh.
Chairman of the Deshbandhu Group, Golam Mostafa, visited the region to inspect industrial and market development activities.
During the visit, Golam Mostafa toured Deshbandhu Textile Mill in the Uttara Export Processing Zone area and reviewed its operations.
The factory has created employment for nearly 5,000 people, including Bangladeshi workers as well as experts and technicians from China and Sri Lanka, according to the company.
According to the company, Deshbandhu Group, the mill's technology-driven production system is helping drive national industrialisation and economic growth.
He later joined exchange meetings with depot owners and distributors from Kurigram, Nilphamari, Saidpur, and Dinajpur to further expand and develop market presence in those districts.
During the meetings, Golam Mostafa outlined plans for business expansion, new industrial units, market growth, and strengthening the local economy.
He stated that the private sector has a crucial role in promoting industrialisation and expanding employment opportunities.
He added that sustainable investment is a key driver of the country's economic development.
Chief Operating Officer of Deshbandhu Food and Beverage Limited, Md Idrisur Rahman, provided strategic guidance on business development and expansion initiatives.
He stated that Deshbandhu Group has contributed to industrialisation, employment generation, and sustainable economic development, reinforcing the group's broader role.
Local dignitaries, relevant officials, depot owners, distributors, and senior executives responsible for sales and marketing attended the meetings.
They discussed business expansion, market development, and future plans, continuing the exchange on growth initiatives.
Participants shared their views and proposals to strengthen business activities in northern Bangladesh through new investment, industrialisation, and market expansion, thereby supporting the day's discussions.
They also expressed their commitment to working together for the country's economic development through dialogue, the exchange of experience, and mutual cooperation, thereby extending the collaborative spirit.
