CWCCI, Springfield partner to help women entrepreneurs access global markets
Chittagong Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CWCCI) and Springfield Corporation, the official channel partner of Alibaba.com in Bangladesh, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to help entrepreneurs access international markets and expand their businesses globally.
Under the partnership, CWCCI members will have opportunities to explore Alibaba.com's global business-to-business (B2B) marketplace, connect with international buyers, enhance their digital business presence and strengthen their export capabilities, according to a press release.
The collaboration aims to support women entrepreneurs and business leaders through access to global trade opportunities, digital export solutions and strategic support for showcasing Bangladeshi products in international markets.
Springfield Corporation Managing Director Md Faizul Alam and CWCCI President In-Charge and Senior Vice President Luthmela Farid attended the signing ceremony.
CWCCI members and Springfield Corporation associates were also present.
Speaking at the event, representatives of both organisations emphasised the importance of digital transformation, international market access and export-oriented growth for entrepreneurs in Bangladesh.
The organisations said the partnership reflected their shared commitment to supporting entrepreneurs, particularly women-led businesses, by connecting them with global buyers through Alibaba.com's B2B marketplace.
They said the collaboration would help create opportunities for sustainable international business growth and strengthen the ability of local enterprises to compete in overseas markets.
The initiative also aims to contribute to Bangladesh's export potential by helping entrepreneurs expand their reach beyond the domestic market.
