Student dies in Tejgaon as truck hits motorcycle
According to police, passersby rescued the two and took them to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), where doctors declared Imon dead.
A college student was killed and his friend was injured when a truck hit their motorcycle in the Tejgaon Industrial Area of Dhaka last night (27 March).
The deceased was identified as Shahriar Imon, 18, an 11th-grade student at Siddheshwari College. His friend sustained injuries and is currently receiving treatment.
The accident occurred around 1:45 am on the road in front of Southern Group Company, adjacent to BG Press in the Tejgaon Industrial Area.

Confirming the incident, Mahmudur Rahman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Tejgaon Industrial Area Police Station, said the victim's family filed a case under the Road Transport Act.
"The truck fled the scene after the accident and has not yet been identified," he added.
