Will US-Iran peace talk progress at Qatar meeting?
The US and Iran have met in Qatar to discuss peace talks. Qatar has said it will continue to mediate to advance the talks. However, Iran has made it clear that it will not move to the next stage of the talks until the key conditions of the 14-point agreement—especially an end to the fighting in Lebanon, ensuring Iran's oil exports, and the release of frozen assets—are met. In addition, an initiative has been taken to form a joint 'de-conflict cell' to prevent new conflicts in Lebanon.
