Why India's cockroach protesters are still on the streets in over 40C heat
The student movement that started over the leak of the NEET-UG medical entrance exam question paper in India has now taken a major shape. Led by the Cockroach Janata Party, which was formed after a comment by the Chief Justice, the students are demanding the resignation of the Education Minister and accountability in the education system. Despite intense heat, police security and pressure, their protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar continues. Educationist Sonam Wangchuk has also joined the movement. The protesters claim that this is not just a protest against the leak of an exam question paper, but a fight against long-standing irregularities in the Indian education system.
