29% of highly educated Bangladeshi youth unemployed, half work below qualifications: IMF
In Bangladesh, the unemployment rate among highly educated youth is approximately 29 percent. This crisis is further compounded by a mismatch between education and the demands of the job market, a lack of practical skills, and a scarcity of quality employment opportunities. Added to this is the rapid expansion of artificial intelligence. The IMF has warned that if timely skills are not fostered and sufficient employment opportunities are not created, youth unemployment could become a major challenge for the country's economic growth.
