Noah Kahan unveils first song for the new Hunger Games movie
Noah Kahan has released 'Draw You Out', the first single from the upcoming soundtrack for 'The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping'.
The folk-pop singer reunited with producer and songwriter Aaron Dessner for the track, which was written and recorded between Long Pond Studio in New York and studios in Nashville. Kahan's layered vocals and reflective style feature prominently throughout the song, echoing the sound that helped establish him as a major artist following the success of 'Stick Season'.
'Draw You Out' will appear on 'The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping (The Album)', which is scheduled to arrive on 13 November through MCA. The soundtrack is executive produced by Dave Cobb and will feature 29 artists from across different genres, although Kahan is currently the only confirmed performer.
Kahan, who has read all of Suzanne Collins' 'Hunger Games' novels and watched the film adaptations, described contributing to the franchise as an "insane opportunity". He said the project offered him a chance to respond to the characters and themes created by Collins while working alongside the filmmakers.
The song accompanies the upcoming film, which takes audiences back to Panem 24 years before the events of the original 'The Hunger Games'. 'Sunrise on the Reaping' is set to arrive in cinemas on 20 November, continuing the franchise with a new story and cast.
