Andrew Garfield hasn't seen new Spider-Man, denies Marvel return

Andrew Garfield is at it again — grinning, dodging and refusing to give the game away.

The star turned up at the West Hollywood premiere of his new historical action drama "The Uprising" on Wednesday, only to confess he still hasn't watched Tom Holland's record-smashing "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" — the film tipped to become the first to earn a billion dollars in North America alone.

"I don't want to be disingenuous," Garfield said, admitting he's also skipped Holland's "The Odyssey." He's promised to fire off a congratulatory message the moment he catches up.

But it was the "Avengers: Doomsday" question that had the room leaning in. Garfield flatly denied he's in the Marvel behemoth — "I'm not" — before that famous smirk gave the whole thing away. Reminded he once fibbed about "No Way Home," he teased: "You'll find out, I suppose, one way or another."

In "The Uprising," directed by Paul Greengrass, Garfield leads a peasants' rebellion against King Richard II. He insisted on doing his own stunts, too. "I'm not a young guy anymore," he laughed. "It was a lot of ice packs on the knees."
