Akij Pipes launches breath-powered ‘Foo-Ball’ championship
Akij Pipes has unveiled a nationwide "Foo-Ball Championship", a unique sporting event where participants propel a ball using their breath instead of their feet to score goals.
The campaign, inspired by the FIFA World Cup 2026, was officially announced at a press conference held at Akij House.
Matches will take place on custom-built platforms made from Akij Pipes. Competitors must blow through the pipes to manoeuvre the ball into the opponent's goal, relying on breath control, precision and strategy.
As part of the campaign, four branded caravans will tour divisions and districts across Bangladesh. Events will include entertainment activities and prizes for spectators.
"Akij Pipes always prioritises innovation and customer satisfaction. The Foo-Ball Championship reflects this creative vision," Chief Operating Officer Paritosh Chandra Mitra said.
"Through this initiative, we have transformed an everyday product into an experience of celebration and enjoyment that will strengthen our engagement with football fans," he added.
Head of Brand Md Shakibul Shahin of Akij Group said the initiative aims to bring the excitement of the World Cup closer to football supporters nationwide.
"This is not merely a brand campaign, but an expression of our respect and affection for Bangladesh's millions of football fans," he said.
"Through our caravans, we want to take this new experience across the country, as a strong brand grows alongside people's emotions and positive experiences," he added.
