Betopia unveils Vision 2030, plans to double workforce
Betopia Group has unveiled its Vision 2030 strategy and announced plans to double its workforce within a year as it expands investment in artificial intelligence, cloud computing and enterprise technologies.
The technology group also announced a decentralised operating structure and several senior appointments, including the elevation of Founder and Chief Executive Officer Muhammad Monir Hossain to the role of Managing Director.
The announcements were made at Betopia Annual Planning 2026–27, the group's annual strategy conference, held at Fortis Downtown Resort in Dhaka on 12 July, 2026.
Board members, senior executives, subsidiary chief executive officers, department heads and management officials attended the conference, where business plans, budgets and key performance indicators for fiscal year 2026–27 were approved.
Vision 2030 focuses on developing an integrated technology ecosystem that covers artificial intelligence, cloud computing, enterprise solutions, business automation, data analytics, and digital transformation. The company also plans to expand into new international markets, including Africa.
Betopia said its new operating model would give subsidiary chief executive officers greater responsibility for day-to-day management and implementation, while strengthening accountability and decision-making across the group.
As Managing Director, Muhammad Monir Hossain will oversee long-term strategy, investment, international partnerships, business expansion and corporate growth.
The group also appointed Mohammad Nasir as Chief Executive Officer of Softvence IT Limited, Zisan Ahmed as Chief Executive Officer of Zencore Solutions Limited and Gourab Krishna Gupta as Chief Executive Officer of Betopia Limited.
Abdullah Al Alamin was appointed Chief Marketing Officer of Betopia Group, with responsibility for global branding, marketing strategy and international expansion.
Betopia said it currently operates 22 strategic business units, employs about 5,000 people and serves clients in more than 80 countries. Its businesses cover software development, enterprise solutions, cloud services, artificial intelligence, information technology outsourcing, business process outsourcing, digital marketing and digital transformation.
The group reported annual turnover of approximately $36 million. However, the release's claim that this equals more than Tk350 crore should be revised because the conversion does not reflect prevailing exchange rates.
Under Vision 2030, the company plans to double its workforce within the next year, supported by international projects, business diversification and investment in skills development.
The conference also introduced "Betopia City", a proposed technology hub comprising data centres, corporate offices, research and innovation facilities, educational institutions, residential facilities and technology-enabled workspaces.
Betopia also plans to invest in graphics processing unit-powered artificial intelligence infrastructure, high-performance computing, cloud technologies and advanced data analytics.
"Our vision is not merely to build a successful company, but to establish a world-class technology enterprise from Bangladesh," Muhammad Monir Hossain said.
"We aspire to build an organisation capable of standing alongside globally respected companies such as Tata Consultancy Services and Infosys. Vision 2030 represents a defining milestone in that long-term journey," he added.
Hossain said Betopia had expanded its business engagement in the United States and was pursuing opportunities in the Philippines and other international markets.
"Companies that can innovate and compete globally will define the future. Our objective is to position Betopia as a globally trusted technology company originating from Bangladesh," he said.
He added that the decentralised leadership model was designed to empower business leaders, strengthen accountability and accelerate implementation across the group's subsidiaries.
Betopia traces its origins to 2013, when Hossain began working as a freelancer. Bdcalling IT Limited was established in 2017 with an initial investment of Tk5 lakh and seven employees before evolving into Betopia Group.
