Ascent Group, Petromax and Foodpanda win Ascent Cup openers
The Ascent Cup kicked off with a series of fiercely contested fixtures, as Ascent Group, defending champions Petromax Refinery and Foodpanda Bangladesh each recorded victories in their opening matches.
Ascent Group began their campaign with a 3–2 win against Green Delta Insurance in a tightly fought contest between two of the tournament's most established sides.
Faruk led the charge for Ascent Group with a hat-trick, opening the scoring, converting a dead-ball opportunity, and capping off a well-orchestrated team move.
Green Delta Insurance responded with two goals from Shafkat and briefly took the lead, but Ascent Group rallied to reclaim control. Green Delta Insurance appeared to have scored a stoppage-time equaliser, but the goal was disallowed, allowing Ascent Group to secure the win.
Defending champions Petromax Refinery staged a comeback to defeat Sterling Group 2–1 in one of the tournament's most fiercely contested matches to date.
Jony put Sterling Group ahead with a deflected dead-ball effort, before Raju drew Petromax Refinery level.
Dipu sealed the win with a powerful strike from outside the centre circle, finding the top corner to complete the turnaround.
The match saw eight fouls—split evenly between both sides—with each team receiving a yellow card. Petromax Refinery maintained composure to claim a hard-fought victory.
Foodpanda Bangladesh delivered a commanding performance to rout tournament debutants Turaag Active 7–0.

Turaag Active, making their first appearance in the competition after previously serving as sponsors, were unable to withstand Foodpanda Bangladesh's relentless attacking pressure in a one-sided contest.
