No change in fuel prices for July as govt holds June rates
The existing retail prices will remain effective from 1 July.
The government has kept retail fuel prices unchanged for July, maintaining the rates introduced in June after increasing the prices of octane, petrol and kerosene while leaving diesel unchanged.
According to a notification issued by the Energy and Mineral Resources Division today (30 June), the existing retail prices will remain effective from 1 July.
Under the unchanged pricing structure, diesel will continue to sell at Tk115 per litre, octane at Tk145 per litre, petrol at Tk140 per litre and kerosene at Tk135 per litre.
The notification said the decision was approved by the competent authority and that the fuel prices fixed under the previous notification issued on 31 May would remain in force throughout July.
For June, the government raised the prices of octane, petrol and kerosene by Tk5 per litre in line with movements in the international oil market, while keeping the price of diesel unchanged.
Under the current pricing structure, octane remains the most expensive fuel, costing Tk5 more per litre than petrol and Tk30 more than diesel.
