July uprising killings: ICT set 30 June for verdict against Inu
The ICT-2 formally took cognisance of the charges on 25 September 2025.
The International Crimes Tribunal-2 has set 30 June for delivering its verdict in a crime against humanity case against former minister and Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (Jasad) President Hasanul Haq Inu over eight charges, including the killing of six people in Kushtia during the July Uprising.
A three-member judicial panel, led by ICT-2 Chairman Justice Nazrul Islam Chowdhury, passed the order today (22 June).
Earlier, on 14 May, the International Crimes Tribunal-2 said that it may deliver the verdict any day in the crimes against humanity case against Hasanul Haq Inu, as arguments from both the prosecution and defence concluded.
The ICT-2 formally took cognisance of the charges on 25 September 2025.
The tribunal formally framed eight charges of crimes against humanity and ordered the start of the trial on 2 November 2025.
