Police have recovered a severed leg near the National Institute of Mental Health and Hospital in Dhaka's Sher-e-Bangla Nagar.

"A leg was found wrapped inside a sack in front of the National Institute of Mental Health and Hospital," Sher-e-Bangla Nagar police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Kaiyum confirmed the matter to The Business Standard today (2 April).

"We are conducting a primary investigation and have informed the Criminal Investigation Department (CID)," he said.
