Indian envoy briefs PM Modi after meetings with Bangladesh leadership
Trivedi returned to New Delhi on Monday after holding three meetings in Dhaka as part of ongoing consultations aimed at advancing relations between the two neighbours.
Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Dinesh Trivedi met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi today (11 August) and briefed him on his recent meetings with Bangladesh's top leadership in Dhaka, a diplomatic source said.
"Yes, he had the meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi today. They discussed Bangladesh-India relations," the source told UNB.

He met Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman on Sunday and separately held courtesy meetings with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed on Monday.
During his meeting with Tarique Rahman, Trivedi conveyed greetings from Modi and expressed India's desire to work with the Bangladesh government and people in a "positive, constructive and forward-looking" manner.
They exchanged views on matters of mutual interest and discussed ways to further strengthen Bangladesh-India relations with a people-centric approach.
