Foreign minister discusses bilateral ties with Azerbaijani counterpart

Bangladesh and Azerbaijan have discussed opening resident diplomatic missions in each other's countries as both sides seek to deepen bilateral cooperation and strengthen diplomatic engagement.
Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman held a telephone conversation with Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov this afternoon (18 June), during which they exchanged views on issues of mutual interest, according to a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the discussion, Bayramov congratulated Rahman on his election as president of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

The two ministers reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing bilateral relations and explored ways to expand cooperation across different sectors.
