Intex Bangladesh 2026 opens in Dhaka with over 300 textile booths
Exhibitors from 12 countries showcase fabrics, technologies and sourcing solutions.
Intex Bangladesh 2026, a three-day international textile sourcing exhibition, opened today (18 June) at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka.
The event brings together textile manufacturers, sourcing professionals, buyers, brands, policymakers and trade associations for business networking and cross-border collaboration, according to a press release.
Senior government officials, diplomats, industry leaders and international exhibitors attended the opening ceremony.
Worldex India Chairman and Managing Director Rajesh Bhagat, TEXPROCIL Joint Director Murali Balkrishna, Bangladesh Garment Buying House Association President Md Abdul Hamid Pintu, and Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association President Mohammed Hatem spoke at the ceremony.
Abdur Rahim Khan, additional secretary and head of the Export Wing at the Ministry of Commerce, delivered the keynote address as the guest of honour.
The ceremony ended with a ribbon-cutting, group photograph and VIP tour of the exhibition halls. It also included the formal inauguration of the Incredible Textiles of India Pavilion at Hall 2.
The exhibition has more than 300 booths from over 12 countries and regions, including Bangladesh, India, China, Taiwan, Japan, Germany, the Netherlands, Thailand, Pakistan, Hong Kong and Uzbekistan.
The exhibitors are displaying fibres, yarns, fabrics, man-made fibres, trims, accessories, compliance solutions, traceability technologies and sustainable textile products across four exhibition halls.
The Incredible Textiles of India Pavilion, supported by TEXPROCIL, MATEXIL and PDEXCIL, features more than 75 Indian companies. They are showcasing cotton, man-made fibre, sustainable fabrics and value-added sourcing solutions.
The China Fashion Textiles Pavilion has more than 70 manufacturers from key Chinese textile provinces, displaying fashion fabrics, functional materials, technical textiles and garment accessories.
The International Pavilion includes exhibitors from Taiwan, Japan, Germany, the Netherlands, Thailand, Pakistan, Hong Kong and Uzbekistan, offering textile technologies and performance fabrics.
The Interactive Business Forum Seminar Series at Hall 4's mezzanine level will hold two sessions alongside the exhibition.
The first, titled "Scaling Sustainable Materials Across Global Supply Chains", is being held today in association with TextileGenesis. The second session, "From Factory Floor to Global Fashion Influence", will be held on 20 June in association with Fashion Business Journal.
The sessions will focus on traceability, sustainability and Bangladesh's changing role in global apparel manufacturing.
The exhibition is also receiving sourcing professionals and buyer delegations from Bangladesh and overseas markets, including Sri Lanka, India, Hong Kong, China, Japan, Germany and the United Kingdom.
