The University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) School of Business hosted a discussion forum titled "Linking Minds: Academia, Alumni and Industry" on 28 February 2026 on the ULAB campus.
The forum brought together alumni, students and faculty to discuss how academic learning can better align with changing job-market demands and industry needs.
ULAB Vice-Chancellor Prof Shamsad Mortuza delivered the keynote address, highlighting the importance of innovation, adaptability and industry engagement in higher education. Prof Sarwar Uddin Ahmed, dean of the School of Business, followed with remarks on the need to update curricula regularly to remain globally competitive.
Moderated by Arzoo Ismail, senior lecturer at the School of Business, the session included an interactive discussion involving 20 alumni and students, and six faculty members.
The discussion highlighted curriculum updates, including integrating artificial intelligence and expanding hands-on projects.
