Southeast Bank, NSU launch Visa student card
Southeast Bank PLC and North South University have unveiled exclusive Visa-branded student credit and prepaid cards, marking a significant expansion of digital banking services on the NSU campus in Bashundhara, Dhaka.
The inauguration ceremony drew the presence of Southeast Bank Chairman MA Kashem, Vice-Chairperson Rehana Rahman, North South University Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Nasar U Ahmed, and NSU Board of Trustees member Benajir Ahmed.
Under this initiative, Southeast Bank introduced credit cards for NSU faculty and staff, as well as student credit and prepaid cards.

Faculty and staff are eligible for a lifetime waiver of annual credit card fees, with credit limits determined by eligibility.
Students will receive Tk100 in cashback on their first prepaid card transaction, along with a one-year waiver of SMS fees.
The cards support both domestic and international transactions, including tuition fee payments and application fees to foreign universities.
Southeast Bank stated that the initiative aims to make financial services more accessible, secure and convenient for students.
Senior officials from both institutions were present at the launch event.
The collaboration between Southeast Bank PLC and North South University underscores a joint commitment to broadening access to digital financial solutions within the academic community.
