Shahid Zia Social Organisation plans nationwide, overseas expansion
Shahid Zia Social Organisation plans to expand its humanitarian and social welfare activities across Bangladesh and among Bangladeshi communities abroad.
The organisation said it was working to extend its activities to every district while strengthening its existing district and overseas branches, aiming to establish a coordinated network to support disadvantaged and marginalised communities.
As part of its ongoing activities, the organisation recently held a programme at the National Press Club in Dhaka and invited political leaders, elected representatives and people from different sectors.
State Minister for Education and Member of Parliament Ekramul Bari Tipu and Member of Parliament Bithika Binte Hossain were among those invited and present.
Md Enamul Karim Mintu serves as president of the organisation, while Mostafa Kamal is its senior secretary general.
Md Fahim Moontasir Masum is set to join the newly formed central committee as organising secretary, where he is expected to support the coordination and expansion of the organisation's activities.
"This organisation was founded out of a sense of social responsibility. Our primary goal is to stand beside people and help advance disadvantaged communities through humanitarian service and welfare-oriented initiatives," Enamul said.
"We aim to work for people across the country while further strengthening and coordinating our activities among expatriate communities," he added.
The organisation plans to engage philanthropists, community leaders and socially conscious individuals in its humanitarian initiatives, with priorities including education, healthcare, assistance for vulnerable people, social awareness and other public welfare programmes.
Its leaders expressed hope that cooperation between the central leadership and its district and overseas branches would help the organisation promote humanitarian values and contribute to social development.
