SBAC Bank gets new additional managing director
SBAC Bank PLC has named Abdul Quaium Chowdhury as Additional Managing Director, appointing a veteran banker with more than 32 years' experience to its senior leadership team.
Prior to this appointment, Chowdhury served as Deputy Managing Director at The Premier Bank PLC.
He has held senior roles at several leading banks.

Chowdhury began his career in 1994 as a probationary officer at IFIC Bank PLC, serving there for more than eight years.
He then spent two decades at Southeast Bank Limited, including as Manager of the Principal and Dhanmondi branches, and in the Foreign Trade Services Division.
In January 2023, he joined The Premier Bank PLC as Deputy Managing Director.
SBAC Bank said Chowdhury brings expertise in strategic planning, achieving business targets, leadership, and decision-making.
He has also contributed to asset quality and good governance, the bank added.
Chowdhury has received several industry awards, including multiple honours as Best Manager.
He holds bachelor's and master's degrees in international relations from the University of Dhaka.
He has participated in seminars and training workshops on economics and banking, both in Bangladesh and overseas.
