Emirates to build new cabin crew housing complex in Dubai
Emirates Airline has launched an initiative to develop a residential project for its cabin crew following an agreement signed with Dubai Investments Park (DIP).
The multi-billion-dirham cabin crew residential complex will accommodate up to 12,000 cabin crew members upon completion.
Construction is scheduled to commence in the second quarter of 2026, with the first phase expected to be completed by 2029. The project will comprise 20 modern residential buildings, each rising 19 storeys, and offering one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments.
The cabin crew village will feature a wide range of modern amenities, including retail outlets, restaurants, fitness facilities, healthcare centres, parks, and open spaces. Walking tracks, swimming pools, and green spaces are expected to foster an active and healthy lifestyle for residents.
Strategically located between Dubai International Airport and Dubai World Central, the project forms part of Emirates' long-term planning for the airline's future operations, including the eventual relocation of its hub to Al Maktoum International Airport.
The project reflects Emirates' commitment to improving the quality of life for its employees and enhancing long-term workforce wellbeing.
