EBL becomes Air Astra’s exclusive online payment gateway partner
Eastern Bank PLC (EBL) has signed an agreement with Air Astra to become the airline's exclusive online payment gateway partner for digital ticket sales.
The agreement was signed recently at the EBL Head Office in Dhaka.
Under the partnership, EBL will provide payment processing for tickets purchased through Air Astra's online booking platform. The bank said the arrangement would offer passengers faster, safer, and more convenient transactions while expanding its digital financial services.

EBL representatives at the ceremony included Ahmed Shaheen, additional managing director; M Khorshed Anowar, deputy managing director and head of Retail and SME Banking; Ahsan Ullah Chowdhury, head of Digital Financial Services; and Faisal M Fathe Ul Islam, head of Digital Payments.
Air Astra representatives included Md Shafiul Asgar, chief financial officer, and Mes Bah Ul Islam, chief commercial officer.
