Dhaka Bank honours women entrepreneurs on MSME Day
Dhaka Bank PLC celebrated International MSME Day 2026 by organising an MSME product display fair and crest-giving ceremony to honour women entrepreneurs.
The programme was held at the bank's head office in Gulshan, Dhaka, on 28 June.
As part of the celebration, the MSME product display fair featured products from five women entrepreneurs supported by Dhaka Bank, giving them a platform to showcase and promote their businesses.
The bank also decorated its head office and several key branches with banners, festoons, balloons and other promotional materials to mark the occasion.
Hafia Tazrean, Additional Director of the SME and Special Programmes Department of Bangladesh Bank, attended the crest-giving ceremony as special guest.
Osman Ershad Faiz, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Dhaka Bank PLC, and AKM Shahnawaj, Additional Managing Director and Chief Risk Officer, also attended the event.
Senior executives of the bank, branch managers, guests and entrepreneurs from across the country were present.
The ceremony was also broadcast live on Zoom, enabling branches across the country to join the celebration.
Crests were presented to five participants of the MSME product display fair and 16 women entrepreneurs recognised by Bangladesh Bank for their loan repayment performance under the Small Enterprise Refinance Scheme for Women Entrepreneurs.
The programme also featured a welcome address by Md Mostaque Ahmed, Deputy Managing Director and Chief Emerging Market Officer of Dhaka Bank PLC, who chaired the event.
Participating entrepreneurs shared their experiences, while guests also spoke at the programme.
Dhaka Bank said the celebration reaffirmed its commitment to promoting women entrepreneurship, financial inclusion, innovation and sustainable growth of Bangladesh's micro, small and medium enterprise sector.
