Baraka Patenga Power Limited holds 14th AGM
The 14th Annual General Meeting of Baraka Patenga Power Limited (the second power plant of Baraka Group) was held using Hybrid System in a combination of Physical presence at Hotel Royal Mark, Sylhet and online presence on December 26, 2024, a by the Company Secretary Mr Mohammad Rana.
After reciting the Holy Quran, the Company Secretary started the main event of the meeting by welcoming the honourable Board of Directors and Shareholders present.
In his welcome speech, the Honourable Chairman, Mr Faisal Ahmed Chowdhury, mentioned that the Company had been listed in the capital market since 2021. The company invested 51% of the total shares of each of Baraka Shikalbaha Power Limited and Karnaphuli Power Limited. The Company also invested 52.67% of the total shares in a newly established securities house, Baraka Securities Limited. He added that Baraka Patenga Power Limited is searching for new profitable ventures for future investment.

The Honourable Managing Director of the Company, Mr Gulam Rabbani Chowdhury, has also expressed his sincere gratitude to the board of directors and shareholders for their genuine cooperation. He indicated that during 2023-24, Baraka Patenga Power Ltd. consolidated EPS was Tk. 0.35, and the consolidated Net Assets Value per share stood at Tk. 26.52 as of 30 June 2024.
The shareholders' vote in the 14th Annual General Meeting approved the declaration of a 2% Cash dividend for fiscal year 2023-2024, along with other agenda items.
