Govt moves to reform education policies: State minister
The government is committed to meeting the necessary demands of the teachers, he says
State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj today (9 May) said the government is bringing changes in education policies to curb existing problems in the sector.
"The government has already taken major initiatives to solve problems such as the shortage of teachers, improving education quality, and addressing teachers' demands. For this, the government is thinking of reformulating education policies to address the existing problems," he said while speaking to the media during a visit to Shahittika Model Govt Primary School.
Earlier, he attended a workshop at the leadership training centre under the pre-primary and primary school improvement project being implemented in Cox's Bazar, Bhasan Char and Bandarban.

Delivering the chief guest's speech at the workshop, the state minister stressed the need for reforming the education sector.
He said, "If the problems of education are addressed properly, many economic and social challenges will be reduced."
He also said that the government is committed to meeting the necessary demands of the teachers.
Primary Education Department Director General Shahina Ferdousi, Director Mohammad Kamrul Hasan and Project Director Mohammad Amzad Hossen were present in the workshop, among others.
