Police have arrested one person after a businessman alleged he received fresh phone threats following an attack on the construction site of his multi-storey building in Chattogram's Hathazari Upazila.

Later, at night, he received abusive phone calls threatening him and warning him to stop the construction work.
Jasim filed a case yesterday afternoon against seven to eight unidentified suspects, said Kazi Mohammad Tarek Aziz, additional superintendent of police of Hathazari Circle.
Police arrested Asif, 23, in the Bayezid Police Station area in the case, Tarek told The Business Standard today.
During preliminary questioning, the suspect admitted involvement in the incident, he said, adding that drives are underway to arrest the remaining suspects.
Jasim alleged that a few days before the attack, he had been asked to pay Tk20 lakh in extortion and was threatened with being shot even if he were in front of 100 police officers if he refused.
He also alleged that the attackers threw crude bombs before carrying out the assault at the construction site yesterday morning.
