India's top opposition leader Rahul Gandhi today (25 July) said Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation is a significant step towards rebuilding the country's education system.
"It is a symbolic step because he (Pradhan) was a symbol. But it is still an important one," Rahul said in a video message.
Congratulating every student and young person who took to the streets over the exam paper leak issue, he said, "They fought for democracy, fought for the future of this country and defended the Constitution."
