Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of undermining democracy and alleged that elections were being stolen. In public posts, Gandhi referred to Modi as "Mogambo".
Gandhi also alleged that Delhi Police, under Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS)-Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers used violence against young people, students and women during the protests.
He said attempts to suppress student protests would intensify anger among Generation Z and young people, adding that the INDIA bloc would not back down regardless of the number of police deployed.
