Overseas jobs fall 29% in September YoY
Crises in the labor markets of the Middle East and Malaysia are impacting Bangladesh's overseas employment. The number of workers receiving clearance to go abroad in September dropped by 29 percent compared to the same period last year. The rate of sending workers also declined by nearly 32 percent during the first nine months of the year. Amidst this, the flow of remittances in September also fell compared to the previous month.
