Nicaragua filed a lawsuit against Germany at the ICJ in 2024, accusing it of aiding the Israeli aggression in Gaza. Germany denies the allegations and is trying to have the case dismissed. The case is currently undergoing preliminary hearings in The Hague. If Germany's objections are dismissed, the trial of the main charges will begin, which could take several years to reach a final verdict.
