Iran's Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei was reportedly pulled from the rubble of a Tehran hospital after it was struck during Israeli and US military attacks, according to Iranian official Mohsen Heydari. The report says Khamenei had previously been wounded, was rescued from the damaged hospital, and later moved to an undisclosed location.
Khamenei has not appeared publicly since, while US intelligence assessments reportedly indicate severe facial injuries. The report also details his selection as Supreme Leader, including the secret vote in which he received 50 of 59 votes.
