Bangladesh's political transition: what did the international media write?

Hundreds of thousands of students and citizens took to the streets; neither curfews nor obstacles could halt their advance. Their destination was Ganabhaban. The situation rapidly spiraled out of the government's control. Then came the announcement—Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had resigned. Accompanied by her younger sister, Sheikh Rehana, she left the country by helicopter. With this, Sheikh Hasina's uninterrupted 15-year rule came to an end.
