Dear AI, are you stealing my brain?
You should always remember that humans created AI, not AI created humans, so don’t let AI take it over our brains. This is made for our help, not to get sabotaged by it.
Nowadays it's easy to achieve everything because of technology. People think of it as a blessing. And yes, technology is a blessing until you know how to use it properly. These days, humans are using AI very frequently. This is not good, because it's killing the creativity of humans.
Artificial Intelligence is the capability of computational systems to perform tasks typically associated with human intelligence, such as learning, reasoning, problem solving, perception, and decision making. It's software that can learn and adapt without explicit programming for every task. It can analyse data and adjust its behaviour based on what they learn.
That means it understands your language as a human can. And it will store your data as well. Hence, we are using it like regular commodities.
Yes, you heard it right. People are using ChatGPT on a daily basis. They are using it to do homework and also do office work. This has made everything easy. But have you ever thought, if it were not there, how would you have done the work by yourself? It might be hard to work without it, but when it was not discovered, people still used to do work on their own.
It was hard and challenging, yet people have done many masterpieces without the use of ChatGPT and any kind of technology. But now, no one can think of a day without the use of AI. Because AI is free, handy, does all the problem-solving on its own and gives you the correct answer you need.
Artificial Intelligence is created so that it might be helpful for humans, but as people are using it, it's not too far that AI would take over human brains.
As AI is used every day for various purposes, somehow we are using it. Now no one has to think a lot before doing any assignments, cause all they do is ask AI to do it for them. And how AI understands what exactly you are seeking is how you describe or give exact prompts for it. For example, if you ask ChatGPT to write a paragraph on a particular topic, then it will create an answer. If you give maths and ask it to solve it as a teacher would solve it.
Artificial Intelligence is created so that it might be helpful for humans, but as people are using it, it's not too far that AI would take over human brains.
AI is making our life easy. We should be thankful to it, but it's something that you should not use each and every time. Because if you use it too frequently, you might get fond of it. So you might get attached to it, and it would be hard to think, and you might want to use it very often.
According to a 2024 survey by the Pew Research Center, nearly 26% of teenagers in the United States use AI tools like OpenAI's ChatGPT for schoolwork on a regular basis. Another report from Unesco found that more than 60% of students worldwide have used AI-powered tools to complete assignments or research tasks. While many students said AI helps save time, educators worry that overdependence on AI is reducing critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills among young people.
Research also shows that the global AI market is growing rapidly. Experts predict that the AI industry could reach more than $1.8 trillion by 2030.
This proves that AI is becoming part of everyday life. However, psychologists and education experts warn that excessive dependence on AI may weaken memory, imagination, and independent thinking if humans stop practising their own skills regularly.
A study published by Harvard University researchers explained that people learn more effectively when they struggle, think critically, and solve problems on their own instead of depending completely on automated systems. This means that while AI can support humans, it should not replace human effort and creativity.
It only takes a few minutes to prepare what you have asked for. So when someone knows that without any hard work and any kind of research, a person can create a critical solution or write anything, then why would they work hard? This is the reason it's being used a lot and people are failing to understand that they should have used it less and practised to enrich their knowledge. If they are using ChatGPT, they can just take ideas from it instead of asking it to solve.
Nowadays, students also use it to cheat in exams, which is really a bad thing. You might get good grades but it would not help you to know better because it's just copy-paste, and no one learns by only doing copy-paste.
AI is for help; it's not for misuse. So those who are using it to have good grades will face issues in future because in office work or in job sectors they would not help you as you expected. It might help you do some work but it would not help you gain experience and it would lack your communication skills. If this is happening, then how can someone work with you? They can just hire AI robots to do what you can do for them. Isn't that easier cause you might lack many things, but they can solve anything that you don't even know about.
Every technology is a blessing, such as this AI but the way people are using it doesn't seem to indicate that we are not able to understand the dangerous sides of it. People are making inappropriate pictures with the use of ChatGPT. Editing whatever they want. Even some people are being anti-social because they are talking with AI but not talking with humans. They are also asking for help from an AI but not from a human. A few people explained over social media that they prefer being alone and talking with AI then humans.
A few days back, an event occurred where someone wanted to get married to an AI. An artist named Alicia Farmis married an AI hologram named Alex in 2024.
Now you can understand that AI is taking us to a point that we can't even imagine. So, before falling into the traps that we create without knowing the side effects of AI and without knowing the dangerous future we should stop using it frequently. It's high time we stopped using it without its need.
If someone can do work without using it, then they should not take help from it. We can take some small steps by doing other things that keep us away from using AI. We can dedicate time to reading, brainstorming, and writing without the use of AI. To reduce AI, we should focus on cultivating independent thinking, minimising use of AI apps and managing digital privacy.
You should always remember that humans created AI, not AI created humans, so don't let AI take it over our brains. This is made for our help, not to get sabotaged by it.
