Research into weight-loss drugs tipped for Nobel as award week opens

Today's (5 October) medicine prize, to be announced at 3:30pm, could go to research that paved the way for weight-loss drugs such as Ozempic and Mounjaro, Nobel watchers told AFP.

Wegovy is the first approved drug since 2014 for chronic weight management in adults with general obesity or overweight.
