Brazil goalkeeper Alisson Becker acknowledged the support of football fans in Bangladesh and said he was aware of the enthusiasm shown by supporters during Brazil matches.
Alisson had been leaving an area set aside for interviews when he stopped and turned back after hearing the name "Bangladesh," in a moment compared to a previous interaction involving Argentina goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.
Alisson said he was familiar with the "craziness" and passion shown by Bangladeshi supporters during Brazil matches and expressed respect and gratitude for their backing.
Brazil forward Matheus Cunha also commented on the reaction of fans in Bangladesh, saying he had seen videos showing the emotions of supporters following Brazil and Argentina.
Cunha said Brazilian players found that level of passion surprising and that they deeply respected it.
Brazil on Monday survived a World Cup Round of 32 scare when they fought back to beat Japan 2-1 after Gabriel Martinelli squeezed in a shot at the far post deep in stoppage time.
The nail-biting victory had sent the Brazil fans in Bangladesh to cloud nine last night.
The five-time world champions will next face Norway or Ivory Coast in New Jersey on 5 July.
