Kendall, Aishwarya and Celine light up L'Oréal runway
Kendall Jenner, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jane Fonda and other international celebrities took to the runway as L'Oréal Paris staged its ninth Le Défilé in Paris on 28 September.
Held at Place Joffre in front of the École Militaire, with the Eiffel Tower in the background, this year's show was titled "Express Your Worth" and opened the Spring/Summer 2027 Paris Fashion Week calendar.
Jenner opened the show in a floor-length sheer black gown featuring a high neckline and thigh-high slit, paired with black stiletto sandals. The model had arrived in Paris after walking for Bottega Veneta in Milan.
Aishwarya made a dramatic appearance in a custom black velvet gown by Yara Shoemaker, styled by Mohit Rai. The two-piece look featured 3D fringe embroidery and a crystal-embellished cape, paired with a diamond-encrusted crown, rings and pumps. Her newly dyed red hair, winged eyeliner and bold red lip completed the look.
At 88, Fonda drew attention in a floor-length red sequin gown, while Heidi Klum wore a plunging black sequined gown. Simone Ashley, Eva Longoria, Cara Delevingne and Andie MacDowell were also among the celebrities who walked the runway.
The show marked the runway debut of Kristen Bell, who was named a global ambassador for L'Oréal Paris in August. She appeared in a black strapless jumpsuit with a sculpted bodice and cut-out detail.
Viola Davis, Aja Naomi King, Marie Bochet, Bebe Vio Grandis, Iris Berben, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Lindsey Vonn, Precious Lee, Anitta and Amy Jackson Westwick were also part of the line-up.
The show concluded with a surprise appearance by Celine Dion, a former L'Oréal Paris ambassador, who performed her 2002 hit "I'm Alive". Dion is currently in Paris for her concert residency, for which L'Oréal Paris is the beauty partner.
