'Ghost Rider', 'Black Panther 3', and more 'Doomsday': Everything Marvel announced at Comic Con

Marvel Studios delivered a string of major announcements at its San Diego Comic-Con 2026 panel on Saturday (25 July), revealing new films, casting confirmations, and fresh footage from some of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's biggest upcoming projects, reports IGN.

Here is everything announced at the Hall H presentation.

Ryan Gosling confirmed as Ghost Rider

One of the biggest reveals of the event was the confirmation of a standalone Ghost Rider film starring Ryan Gosling.

Taking the stage, Gosling said the role is one he has wanted to play for a long time. 

Marvel also confirmed that "Deadpool & Wolverine" director Shawn Levy will direct the film.

The movie is scheduled for release in 2028.

New footage from 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day'

Marvel debuted exclusive footage from "Spider-Man: Brand New Day", featuring Spider-Man teaming up with Jon Bernthal's Punisher against the Hulk.

The preview showed Hulk battling both heroes, with Mark Ruffalo returning as the character. 

It ended with Spider-Man and the Punisher preparing to work together against the raging Hulk.

Star-studded cast unveiled for 'Avengers: Doomsday'

The Russo Brothers appeared on stage alongside a large ensemble of Marvel stars to promote "Avengers: Doomsday".

Among those present were Pedro Pascal, Hayley Atwell, Chris Evans, Anthony Mackie, Paul Rudd, Simu Liu, Winston Duke, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, David Harbour, Kelsey Grammer, Hannah John-Kamen, Lewis Pullman, Danny Ramirez, and Tenoch Huerta.

Robert Downey Jr also appeared, continuing his new MCU role as Doctor Doom. 

Addressing the audience, he teased that viewers will have to decide whether to stand with the heroes or "the family of Doom".

Hayley Atwell's appearance also confirmed Peggy Carter's return in the film.

Deadpool officially joins 'Doomsday'

Marvel ended speculation over Deadpool's future by confirming Ryan Reynolds' antihero will appear in "Avengers: Doomsday".

Reynolds walked onto the Hall H stage in costume and joked with the audience, making his first official appearance promoting the upcoming Avengers film.

'Black Panther 3' set for December 2028

The presentation concluded with the announcement of "Black Panther 3", which will be released on 15 December 2028.

Director Ryan Coogler appeared on stage with Letitia Wright and Winston Duke, revealing that the story will focus on the coming of age of T'Challa's son.

Coogler also confirmed that David Jonsson, known for "Alien: Romulus" and "The Long Walk", has been cast as the new Black Panther.

Doom takes centre stage in exclusive footage

Marvel also screened exclusive footage from "Avengers: Doomsday".

The preview showed Doctor Doom seated on a throne while Sue Storm described how everything he cared about had been taken from him. 

The footage also featured Thor, Shang-Chi, Shuri and Gambit before Doom awakened an army of dormant Sentinels.
